Instructions

It’s easy to hang, really!

Step 1: Wash Your Wall
Use an ordinary household cleaner like TSP. Rinse and dry it completely.

Step 2:  Measure...Then Measure Again!
Measure the working area.  Determine where you want your Skribblz Art to go and make your markings.  You will be able to see these marking through the transfer paper.  Confirm your measurements, because once it's up, it's up!

Step 3: Prepare Skribblz
Your Skribblz has two sides:  The front is covered by a thin, see-through tape, like masking tape, and is called Transfer Paper.  The back is covered by a more rigid paper that is glossy on the inside so that the adhesive side of the Skribblz peels away easily, and is called the Paper Backing.  Before peeling away the paper backing, place your skribblz face up on a flat surface and burnish the front of the image to ensure that the artwork is adhered to the transfer paper.  Flip the image over so that the transfer paper face is down.  Peel away the rigid paper backing on an angle.  Once you do this the sticky side of the Skribblz will be revealed.

Step 4: Application
If your Skribblz is over 2 feet long, you may want to have a second person to assist in aligning it to your marks on the wall.  Position your Skribblz design on the wall where you want it, making sure that it is level to the markings you made in step 2.   Once you are sure it is where you want it, press down on the middle, smoothing outwards towards the edges.

Step 5: Burnish
Firmly rub down the entire surface of the transfer paper with your hand.  You may also use a credit card if you desire, however the pressure of the fingers and palm of your hand should be adequate.

Step 6: Reveal
Bend back one corner of the transfer paper and peel away at a 45° angle, keeping the transfer paper as close to the wall as possible. Smooth any remaining tiny creases or bubbles.  Enjoy!

Troubleshooting

What if the Skribblz letters want to stick to the paper backing when I attempt to peel them off?
You want the Skribblz to stick to the transfer paper so that you can place it on your wall.  Replace the paper backing, flip over so that the transfer paper side is facing up, and burnish (rub vigorously) so that the transfer paper is well adhered to the Skribblz.

What if the paper backing starts to tear when I am removing it from the skribblz?
As long as the Skribblz are sticking to the transfer paper, it doesn't matter if the rigid paper backing comes off in one piece or one hundred.  Continue removal and go back to pick off any remaining pieces.  The rigid paper backing is coated with a glossy substance, so the Skribblz will WANT to stick to the transfer paper, and any little bits of the paper backing will come off easily.

What if my Skribblz wants to peel off the wall with the transfer paper?
You need to burnish the surface more.  The Skribblz really needs to be pressed firmly into place so that it will adhere to your wall.  Stop pulling back on the transfer paper, press it back onto the wall in the area of difficulty and continue burnishing.  If this area continues to be an issue, stop, and start peeling the transfer paper from a different area.
